Did you know that the ancient yogis and many other cultures knew how to use the sun to heal all kinds of illnesses, and bring about radiant health? Ancient Greek history tells stories of using sunlight therapy called heliosis to heal and bring vibrancy to health, in the modern world this is now referred to as ‘heliotherapy’.
While the dangers of excessive sun exposure are well recognized, there is a lot more movement towards the benefits of safe exposure to sunlight on health.
Exposure to the sun is the number one source of Vitamin D. Your body needs Vitamin D to assist in growth of virtually every cell of our bodies, and is proven to play a role in good health.

Be careful though, exposure to the sun should be done SLOWLY! If you are not used to the sun, then your skin will be more sensitive to it – remember we are only just heading out of being wrapped up all winter. Avoid sunburn by building up your tolerance SLOWLY.
